Features: Beach, spa, pool, guided tours
Strategically nestled at a distance of about 5 minutes from the region’s famous Tortuguero National Park, the 34-acres Pachira Lodge sits facing the town’s main “canal” and is encircled by a network of picturesque canals along with one of the most extraordinary bio-diverse landscapes. The heady oasis, surrounded by Costa Rica’s famed wilderness, offers a comfortable and relaxing stay coupled with policy that encourages sustainable tourism and local community initiatives. Since there are no roads around, more than half the charm of staying at Pachira Lodge lies in the adventurous boat trips around Tortuguero. The family-friendly property provides a variety of comfortable in-house amenities, perfectly manicured gardens and excellent buffet-style meals along with easy access to the Tortuguero National Park (featuring 11 different habitats, more than 2,000 plant species and 400 varieties of trees). Pachira Lodge seamlessly blends a rustic eco-lodge feel with a comfortable vacation destination aura.
Amenities and Activities
Pachira offers its guests a variety of experiences in the form of optional tours and relaxing in-house amenities. Guests can enjoy everything from a Chocolate Deluxe Body Treatment ($ 95 USD for a single 1 hour: 20 minute session) to swimming in a gigantic sea turtle-shaped swimming pool (with a whirlpool tub and wading pool). One of the most popular activities around the region are the turtle nestling tours (Tortuguero is known to be the most significant region in the Caribbean for experiencing the almost surreal Green Turtle nestling phenomenon). Pachira’s other widely conducted optional activities include fishing, canoeing and kayaking tours.
